The #1 recruiting mistake that players & parents make (And what to do)

I recently asked Jim Huber about recruiting mistakes that players often make. Jim spends a lot of time helping kids with the recruiting process and also explaining what college coaches look for at our Elite Guard Camps. He said the number one mistake is that they don't develop...

Elite Guard Camp Schedule

The elite guard camp is for very serious and dedicated 7th grade to 12th grade players. It's an intense 3 day camp (depending on the location) that covers ALL aspects of guard play -- mentality, leadership, ball handling, passing, scoring, shooting, play making, and much more. For dedicated and serious players that are willing to work hard - boys and girls.

Reviews and Feedback For Elite Guard Camps

With the offseason here, comments on articles and forum posts are a little slower. So we decided to share some more feedback we’ve gotten from our Elite Guard Camps.

“Every drill had specific goals which were then reinforced with videos.”

I enjoyed the fact that the importance of life overshadowed the basketball skills being taught. Every drill had specific goals which were then reinforced with videos. The clear communications about the real life issues that young people deal with...It was great to see Noah being able to utilize his development from the last camp. Great Camp!

“Being able to see moves they were working on at the camp used in college and NBA levels helped drive home the importance of knowing proper technique and timing.”

The instructors and attention to details were awesome! Matt Keeley had such an upbeat and positive attitude and message for the players on and off the court. My son is 14 and has a lot potential with regards to height, length, and skill, but lacks a lot of confidence. I think concentrating on the details when it comes to correct movements helped him a lot.

The video sessions and note taking were different from others camps we have been to, but I thought were very helpful. I was surprised at how much my son had filled up his pages. Being able to see moves they were working on at the camp used in college and NBA levels helped drive home the importance of knowing proper technique and timing.
