Hi Coaches -

We posted two new pieces of content that we think you’ll like.

We also made a few changes to a recent article on variable and random practice. There is more on that below.

The first article shows one of my favorite ball-handling drills and a way to make practice more efficient. The second explains how to make your players tougher -- and gives you some good ideas that most of us overlook. Here’s the new content...

2-1-0 Dribbling Drills - How the "Three Step Progression" Makes Your Drills More Efficient

How to Make Players Tougher - 7 Habits of Truly Tough Players (Jay Bilas)

Internally, we had some discussions and we tweaked a few things on our last article:

36% Game Improvement With This Drill & Practice Adjustment

We went from four categories to five categories of drills. We added a term called interleaving practice and gave a different example for random practice. We think this terminology fits better and will help you structure your drills to maximize game performance.

We hope you like the new content. I think you’ll like both articles and both apply to all age levels of basketball. Let us know what you think.

Thanks!
