Today, there is debate about whether AAU is causing the game of basketball to get worse. Past and present NBA players, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Rober Horry, have expressed their disappointment by calling AAU “STUPID” “HORRIBLE” and “POORLY COACHED.” Our guest Jerry Meyer, who is the Director of Basketball Recruiting for 247 Sports brings great insight to clear up these comments.

Jerry’s basketball experience and successes have developed him into being one of the better evaluators of basketball talent. His basketball pedigree includes being the all-time assist leader in college basketball, leading a team that set a single season record with 41 wins and coached DI basketball. He had the good fortune of being coached by his dad the legendary Don Meyer. Coach Meyer is the 5^th winningest coach in college basketball history. Buster Olney, of ESPN, calls Coach Meyer the “GREATEST COACH THAT NO ONE KNOWS.”
