Texas Tech Head Coach Chris Beard’s coaching style was honed under Bobby Knight, and it has made him one of the top up and coming coaches in the nation.   He has amassed a 189-64 record and 23 victories per season over his eight seasons as a head coach.  His previous stops include Fort Scott Community College, Seminole State College, McMurry University, Angelo State and Little Rock.

Enjoyed the Knight stories, Beard is fantastic, fast forward 1 year in the top10, wow!

Good interview with Coach Beard. I enjoyed it. I like that he wants his players to succeed on the court and off the court. And I liked that you would one your son to play for him.

Kevin, thanks for the comment on Coach Beard’s interview. Troy and I really enjoyed visiting with him. I would definitely want my sons to play for coaches who are motivated to develop them to be better people on and off the court.
