I'm currently in middle school season right now. My team is 1-7. The last couple of games really look promising against couple of the better teams in there league. But last night we played one of the teams who we probalby matchup pretty evenly with and ended up losing. When we're dialed in we can play with the best of um. So what is it when we play teams i know we can beat only to under acheive? I preach aggressiveness to the bone, effort has to be every single time and positive attitude must be positive regardless of the sitution. Help?

Your title says, Being aggressive so I'm assuming you're seeing some laid back play out on the court when your players need to be turning up the heat and finishing the deal?

Instill more of a competitive environment in your practices. I say this all the time, but make practices harder than games. Make your drills competitive with consequences for the losers. Those consequences don't have to be crazy, but the losers need to feel some uncomfortableness.
