Can anyone comment on how long a youth player has possession of the ball during a game? 10%? 15%. Just a ballpark estimate would be great. Thanks |

Even though, this would never happen. We'll assume these things are equal for simplicity. - Playing Time - Time Touching the Ball Now, if you assume there are 8 players on each team, then you have a total of 16 players. Take 100% of the game and divide by 16 players and you a little over 6% per player. |

You have your point guards who typically handle it more and post players less... and your best players more.... Thats really hard to figure out the exact numbers. Now, If a coach was using a simple 5 out motion offense, you might get closer to an equal % - I'm glad you answered this first Joe, it woke up my brain. :-) jd- what is your reasoning behind this question? |
