  • Initial setup vs. 2-3
  • 1 passes to 2 then follows his pass and replaces 2.
  • 2 dribbles down a bit to stretch the zone then passes back to 1.
  • 2 then runs the baseline and curls into the heart of the zone.
  • At the same time 5 sets a down screen for 2 on the middle defender (D5).
  • At the same time, 4 sets a down screen on the weak side defender for 3 to come up.
  • 1 looks to dribble ONCE towards the middle for a BETTER PASSING ANGLE to look for 2 inside.
  • OPTION 1:
  • 2 CAN LOOK TO REVERSE THE BALL IF 4D STAYS IN AND DOESN'T COME OUT TO THE SHOOTER = 3.
  • OPTION 2:
  • IF D4 GOES OUT TO CLOSE OUT ON THE SHOOTER AFTER 4 SET THE DOWN SCREEN, 2 THEN SIMPLY DROPS THE BALL TO OUR 4 FOR THE LAYUP.
  • PG OPTION:
  • IF THE MIDDLE IS CLUTTERED AND THE DEFENSE IS TIGHTS IN THE MIDDLE - DON'T EVEN PASS IT IN AND LOOK TO SKIP IT OVER TO 3 RIGHT AWAY.
