3 on 3 multipurpose
Ages: Middle School High School+
Purpose of the Drill:
multipurpose drill, defending first shot, emphasize on defense and offense rebound, play concentration, fast break
Instructions
- Play 3 on 3. First shot if succesfull is 5 points.
- All other shots are as in regular match. If basket is made, offense can rebound and immediatelly score again and again until defense grabs the ball.
- When defense is succesfull, they run fast break on other basket. They have two shots to score and the game is over.
- Both teams get their points and defense becomes offense and offense goes on defense and new play starts. If there are more 3 players teams, we rotate them
- Team which achieves 30 points first is the winner
Points of Emphasis:
- offense - preparing proper shooting position for offense, defense -concentration on defending first shot
Motivation/Teaching Tips:
- counting points for offense and defense both, loser runs some suicides....
