Motion Offense Initial Set
Ages: All Ages Youth Middle School High School+
Summary:
4-out 1-in motion offense. The post player is always on the weak side of the ball, somewhere near the low block. This opens the lane up for the dribble drive and allows the 5 to get more rebounds.
Personnel:
Players who can catch and pass under pressure. Good footwork is important to get off good shots.
Instructions

- Set up your motion offense with four players outside of the 3 point line and one player on the weak side block.
Additional Comments:
If you do not get a good shot off the fastbreak, be sure to get six or seven passes in your motion offense before taking a shot.
Set good screens and make the defense fight through. This wears down the other team.
Pay close attention to your shooting percentage and run the offense that takes good shots.
