Single Chair Attack

Purpose of the Drill:

The purpose of this drill is to work on dribbling and finishing moves attacking the basket with a live dribble.

Instructions

  • Player 1 attacks the first chair and makes a move while finishing at the rim
  • He then dribbles out towards the middle chair making a move and pushing out towards half court.
  • He repeats attacking the middle chair and finishing at the rim.
  • He then attacks the final wing chair going toward half court and then reattacks the final chair, finishing at the rim.

Points of Emphasis:

  • Change speeds as you approach the chair.
  • make your moves low and aggressively
  • push the ball out after each move going towards the basket and towards half court.
