Double Cone Pushout Attack Drill
Ages: All Ages Youth Middle School High School+
Purpose of the Drill:
The purpose of this drill is to develop your ball handling, and practice specific dribbling moves while attacking and finishing at the basket or with a jump shot off the dribble.
Instructions

- Player 1 starts with the ball in the corner and attacks through the cones with a change of direction move. (Note: If the player is using any move that keeps the ball in the same hand (inside out, hesitation, etc.) then the player stays to the outside of the cone).
- Once the player comes out of the second cone they sprint dribble around the cone at half court.
- Then reattack the basket making a move at the chair.
- Players can finish at the rim or with a jumper off the dribble.
- Repeat the same moves on the opposite side.
Points of Emphasis:
- Stay low through the cones especially when pushing past them.
- Vary your dribble moves.
- Vary your finishing moves.
- Move through the drill at game speed.
Motivation/Teaching Tips:
- Keep track of the number of makes in a period of time.
