Single Double Between the Chairs

Purpose of the Drill:

The purpose of this drill is to develop the player's ballhandling and attacking skills off the dribble.

Instructions

  • The player starts on the baseline and makes a single move at the first chair, a double move at the second chair, a single move at the third chair, and a double move at the last chair.
  • After the last move, they push out to attack and circle the cone.
  • After the player turns the cone, they attack and finish at the rim.

Points of Emphasis:

  • Stay low through the chairs.
  • Keep your moves low and quick between the chairs.
  • Push out fast after your last move.
  • Turn the corner tight and attack the rim hard off the dribble.
  • Try to get to the rim from the cone on two to three dribbles tops depending on where the cone is.

  • See how many can you make in a specific amount of time.
