Purpose of the Drill:
Great drill to help your team learn to break a press. Really challanges the point guard since there are more defenders than offensive players. Also a great drill for offensive spacing, rebounding, and conditioning.
Instructions

- This full court drill is designed to simulate pressure.
- The court is divided into two halves, and players can not go over their half of the court.
- On each side of the court one team has 3 players and the other has two. So 5 players total for each team.
- The team with two players takes the ball out of bounds. The point guard attempts to get open, while one defender face guards and the other plays behind the guard, making sure the pass can't go over the top.
- A third defender aggressively guards the ball out of bounds.
- Once inbounded, the offensive team can dribble only to half court. They need to make the pass to one of their three teammates on the other side of half court.

- After the offensive team successfully passes over half court to one of their teammates, and now it becomes a 3 on 2 offensive advantage.

- The offensive team attempts to score, and if successful, the turn into the defense.
- The drill continues as it did at the other end with two offensive players attempting to beat three defenders to half court.
- Then when the offense passes over half court, it again becomes a three on two.
Points of Emphasis:
- This is a great continuous drill that is good for conditioning as well.
- Make sure players are keeping their spacing.
- Work on cuts to get open for the point guard.
- Work on rebounding and good outlets if there is a rebound situation.
- On defense work on denial and face guard defense on the press.
