{"id":771,"date":"2015-09-05T16:17:44","date_gmt":"2015-09-05T21:17:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/haefner\/?p=771"},"modified":"2015-09-05T16:17:44","modified_gmt":"2015-09-05T21:17:44","slug":"practice-plan-and-drills-summer-team-camp-day-2-and-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/haefner\/practice-plan-and-drills-summer-team-camp-day-2-and-3","title":{"rendered":"Practice Plan and Drills \u2013 Summer Team Camp Day 2 and 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The format for day 2 and 3 were very similar to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/haefner\/practice-plan-and-drills-summer-team-camp-day-1\/\">day 1<\/a>. \u00a0So I&#8217;ll just post a few adjustments that we made.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what we changed on day 2 and 3&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 10px;\">We ran <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/defense\/shell-drill-sucks.html\">shell drill<\/a> from a 4 out 1 in formation instead of 5 out. \u00a0This allows us to teach &#8220;post positioning&#8221; and just give players a different look for the shell drill. \u00a0We rotated so everyone got a chance to guard the &#8220;post spot&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 10px;\">After working on offensive skills, we played half court 5on5 controlled scrimmage. \u00a0Rule: \u00a0Lay ups only until you make at least 5 passes.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 10px;\">Then we let them go up and down full court the last 20\u00a0minutes. \u00a0I let the parents know that we&#8217;d be scrimmaging at the end, so some of them took a long lunch and watched them scrimmage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;ll post day 4 of\u00a0camp plan shortly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The format for day 2 and 3 were very similar to day 1. \u00a0So I&#8217;ll just post a few adjustments that we made.
