We had two practices.\u00a0 Each practice lasted 2 hours.<\/p>\n<p>We followed the same format both days&#8230; just tweaked the drills and emphasis a little bit.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Dynamic Warm Up <\/strong><em>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/haefner\/dynamic-warm-up-for-basketball-strength-athleticism-and-injury-prevention\/\">link to warm up<\/a>)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dribbling &amp;\u00a0Finishing<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/play.asp?id=8212\">3 cone groove finishes<\/a>:<br \/>\n&#8211; basic lay ups &#8211; left and right<br \/>\n&#8211; shoulder finish &#8211; left and right<br \/>\n&#8211; reverse lay up<br \/>\n&#8211; 2 foot push \/ long lay up<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ballhandling<\/strong><br \/>\nIn place dribbling &#8211; retreat and fan<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=5jI3S_jv3FU\">Split dribble moves<\/a>\u00a0(touch cone) into jump shot<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shooting<\/strong><br \/>\nForm shooting<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/fundamentals\/shooting-confidence.html\">Groove shooting<\/a> (slowly move back as you &#8220;groove&#8221; your shot)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/play.asp?id=8032\">2 balls, 3 shooters<\/a> (off catch and dribble)<\/p>\n<p><strong>1 v 1 Overlap &#8211; Defense &amp; Ballhandling <\/strong><em>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/drills\/1v1-overlap.html\">link to drill<\/a>)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Situations<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/drills\/reactionrebounding.html\">Reaction rebounding<\/a> (focus on box outs)<br \/>\nReview BLOB plays (5v5)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/play.asp?id=8053\">Transition offense &#8211; 2 trips<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Motion &amp; Game Based Learning<br \/>\n<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/play.asp?id=8213\">3v3 back screens<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/play.asp?id=8214\">3v3 single away screen<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthroughbasketball.com\/play.asp?id=8215\">3v3 stagger away (single, single) &#8211; extra passer<\/a><br \/>\n<em>* We have two 3v3 games going at once so all players are working.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Half Court Scrimmage<\/strong><br \/>\nWork on all aspects of man to man defense, motion offense, and rebounding.\u00a0 First to 8 points wins.\u00a0 2 games.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Full Court Scrimmage<\/strong><br \/>\nFocus on transition and half court execution.\u00a0 First to 6 wins, then shake hands, sub, and play again.
