The format for day 2 and 3 were very similar to day 1. So I’ll just post a few adjustments that we made.
Here’s what we changed on day 2 and 3…
- We ran shell drill from a 4 out 1 in formation instead of 5 out. This allows us to teach “post positioning” and just give players a different look for the shell drill. We rotated so everyone got a chance to guard the “post spot”.
- After working on offensive skills, we played half court 5on5 controlled scrimmage. Rule: Lay ups only until you make at least 5 passes.
- Then we let them go up and down full court the last 20 minutes. I let the parents know that we’d be scrimmaging at the end, so some of them took a long lunch and watched them scrimmage.
