We are an undersized high school girls basketball team w/o a post presence. We are small and quick. We see a ton of ½ court zones (2-3, 1-3-1, 1-2-2, 3-2, etc.). Do you have any suggestions for zone offense DVD’s that would suit our situation?

Coach McKinley,

With a small , quick team you want up-tempo style and fullcourt press utilizing your quickness. Push the fastbreak!!

When in half court set, click on links below. Maybe you can find a few plays vs. zones. Without an inside presence you'll need your players to hit the open jumpers.

Give these links a look. Maybe you've already seen them.

Good Luck Coach!!

good advice, you will also have to get up and down the floor much quicker than your opponents. Your best bet is to develop a fast break and multiple presses so you dont have to spend too much time playing against their set defenses. Look for options in your zone offense that include screening inside the zone they may work well. coach mac
