When the speed dribble is going up the sideline how do you determine when to get the cut trap where you trap from behind if the defender gets the dribbler to back dribble or spin versus when do you hit the speed dribbler from the front with the trap? We're getting into trouble some with chasing to get the trap from the backside and then dribbler not getting turned so we hit from the front and then we are out of position to intercept passes. Are there some rules to help keep this from happening?

Coach. The 4 or 5 man needs to read the trap situation. He should be sprinting to ball level and then react if the ball is cut or if the up court player hits the ball. If he is sprinting to ball level his interception area should be right even with the ant way. The 3 on 3 drill should help. Coach Haske
