I was wondering if there was a way to get into shape for this upcoming basketball season (November), please keep in mind that I'm 14, in grade 9 and I get a lot of homework. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This may sound stupid, but play basketball.

If you create a good offseason workout, you wouldn't even need to run to be in great shape. However, if you want a specific conditioning program.

Do this twice a week

1 yo yo. Rest 30 seconds
1 defensive slide half yo-yo. Rest 15 seconds.
10 Quick jumps. Rest 15 seconds.

Do that 8 times through. Try to slowly increase the numbers as basketball season approaches, then give yourself a week off from the conditioning program before basketball season starts.

Best of Luck!

(A yo yo is where you run from the baseline to free throw line back to baseline, then baseline to half court to baseline, then baseline to opposite free throw line to baseline, then baseline to opposite baseline to baseline.)
