When I am in the post, do I back down the defender using my shoulder or my back? I used to use my back all the time. But then it becomes less effective as it's harder to pivot, and I studied some great post players like Carlos Boozer, Tim Duncan and Chris Bosh and none of them use their back, they all use their shoulder and therefore they can just go for the lay up or j and it's so much easier. So which should I do?

Take a look at this first.... then lets talk some more.

I think body size has a lot to do with how you play in the post... IF you're a beast you can muscle people... if you're more on the slight side I would think that finnese is a better way to go.

I used to tell my post players to get to a good position in the post.. kind of mid post area so you can go either way... sit on the pressure if they are trying do deny the pass.... hold them off with one hand and ask for the ball with the other.
