'm from Philippines, so Filipinos might help more.

I have an ACL injury in both of my knees. Left one has "full thickness tear of the ACL" while the other has "ACL strain".

The surgery is very expensive, and I'm having doubts in my mind. Should I proceed? If I do, will I still achieve my dream of becoming a professional basketball player in this country? I'm currently in one of the top schools of the country (AJHS), and one of the reasons why I went here is for basketball.

I'll be 10th grade when classes starts.

Speaking realistically, should I continue? Or basketball is over for me?

I've seen kids recover fully from ACL tears and injuries. It takes time, but they recover and continued to play basketball. However, I think this is a question for the surgeon, they should be able to give you an idea if a full recovery is possible along with pursuing your dream.
