hello all
had 2 years high school varsity letters
I have never played college basketball just yet
but I've gain experiences playing against their veterans at open gyms / few practices
this year, my junior year, my coach expects me to be back mentally/physically ready
I am a 5-9 who is being used to play PG, SG. Lately, we lack post players and she decided to put me as a SF, PF that I lack experience in.
last 2 weeks during open gyms i tried to be a post player which is tough at first. i stuggle to play defense the right way and getting rebounds and changing habits of letting the point guard get the ball instead of me

thanks!

Be proactive and talk to your coach. He/she will appreciate you taking the initiative. Ask your coach for pointers on playing defense and rebounding. The way I teach post defense might be different than your coach. So it's best to ask them.

Good luck!
