Post subject:  Home Workout Ideas

Hi-Hi, I'm a total beginner with slightly above average shooting accuracy and I lack stamina, speed and strength. Could you please send me home workout ideas to be more athletic??? I can't afford gym membership at the moment so I'll be working out from home. Thank you and God bless.

For conditioning, here are some ideas for at gym or at home:

For strength, speed, and agility... you can find some ideas here:

https://www.breakthroughbasketball.com/play.asp?id=8036 (can be done in garage, driveway or basement)

If you just have a couple dumbbells, you can do almost all these exercises with those. So for example, if a workout calls for barbell squat, you can do a goblet squat instead by holding the dumbell under your chin. You can also hold dumbbells at side to add resistance when doing lunges.

If you want a step by step plan to get stronger, faster, and jump higher... I highly recommend Cody Roberts program:

I like it, because even for beginners, it gives you a base to start out to develop the fundamental coordination and movement efficiencies you need to get started.

You can do the program at home. Ideally you have a squat rack, barbells, and other equipment. But you can get by with just a few dumbbells and a bench of box so step on. Page 4 of the accompanied ebook gives you substitute exercises if you don't have all the equipment needed.
