Hello, I am nearly 14 and from Ottawa, Ohio. Getting gym time to practice outside of organized basketball is difficult and weather affects how I can use my basket at home. What can I do when I am confined at home?

You can always work on dribbling when at home. You can dribble in basement, garage, or anywhere you have hard surface and a few feet of space. Here are a few drills and workouts to give you ideas:

If you have a wall you can throw the ball against, you'll notice some of the drills allow you to practice passing too.

If you want step by step workouts you can do at home, here's a good program:

You can also work on form shooting at home. I suggest practicing your form almost every day. Even if you just take 20-40 shots working on your release / follow through. This helps you develop good habits and maintain your shooting stroke. You can lay up your back, shooting from a chair into the air, against the wall, or to a spot on the floor.

Hope this helps!
