Good luck, I hope things get better for you.. I know that shin splints can be painful.. had them when I was much younger...

I would recommend calf compression sleeves. When I started experiencing some shin splints, I bought this kind of compression sleeves for running. They have a perfect amount of compression without squeezing or binding. I like that most of them are made of cotton and breathable. I can feel zero pain when wearing these compression sleeves.
