I have a question, Team A commits an intentional foul against a player of Team B, before team B shoot the free throws a player of Team B commits a technical foul, first Team B shoot two free throws then Team A shoot two free throws, Which Team should maintain possession of the ball? Thanks for your help\r\n

The way the rules are set up - the team that shoots the T ( team A) takes the ball out of bounds. You shoot 2 and get the ball.

I believe that is the correct interpetation of the rule. Lets see if I get corrected.

Coach Sar: I'm not sure, but wouldn't either the possession arrow come into play or in that case, an actual jump ball with the two opposing post players...Coach Mac.....ps...Ive never been confronted by this situation before...

Coach Mac -

I don't think the arrow has anything to do with it ( just me ) Team A intentionally fouls Team B ( or gets a T ) Team A shoots the FTs and gets the ball out of bounds.

Example - ( Ever hear of an 8 point play? ) We got a back door lay up, made the shot and got fouled +2 The kid said something and got a T - we made all 3 FTs +3 - got the ball out of bounds and hit a 3 -- 8 point play going into the locker room. Turned a deficit into a 2 point lead.

Moral of the story - KNOW your opponent... NEVER foul and good shooting team. (unless you absolutely have to)
