Well, I offered to coach the girls high school b-ball team at my school and I have never coached b-ball. Any good tips, ideas, recommendations, materials that may prove helpful?? Any good b-ball books??? Rule books?? Thanks you!!

The first thing you need to do is to form some sort of a philosophy about how you are going to play... m2m or zone..... motion or structured offense etc.
Is this the varsity team or a lower level? IF you are taking a program over, you have to decide upon how you are going to build your program. Unless you are blessed with a lot of good players I would be thinking that this is a rebuilding situation.
