What are ways to get your top scorer involved in the dribble drive offense 4 out 1 in. Right now he stands in the left corner and is face guarded. Coach does not screen in the offense or run any post ups.

Sorry for the very late reply. Our system stopped sending us notifications a while ago so we missed a bunch of questions. It's probably a little late but....

Depending on the specific rules used with their dribble drive motion, he could use footwork and positioning to catch the ball when face guarded.

When on the perimeter and one pass away, perform a step through pivot to get the defender on your hip, then hold him there and hold your hand out for the ball. You see NBA players do this all the time. It's almost like posting up but on the perimeter. As the ball is passed to your outside hand, use a reverse pivot, face up, and go to work.
