Hi. I am coaching my daughters middle school basketball team this year. I have helped out with the team the last couple of years, but the head coach moved away and now i will be the head coach. This is a small private school. We had 15 girls sign up this year. The AD does not want to make cuts because she wants to try and build the girls basketball program. I am an advocate of everyone plays, but how can i get everyone playing time with 15 players. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You should have two teams / games... A game and B game. 8 or 9 players for each team (some of the players on the fence would probably be on both teams). That is the only way to get all the players meaningful minutes and develop them all. Otherwise trying to find minutes for 15 players is too difficult. From a development standpoint, 8 or 9 players on a roster is about perfect.
