So, like the title said I'm looking for some basic ways to get better. I am a 6', 220 lb 20 year old in college. Basketball is the one sport where I never played organized or with a coach, only just me messing around. I've recently played intramurals and gotten some coaching from fraternity brothers and got some shoes and what not. Ive really become addicted over the past two weeks and want to be great. I'm slowly getting better but just want to know if there are any basic tips that I would have learned had I played earlier in life.

Search some YT videos for drills you can do on your own. THINCPRO Basketball has a few good ones under Basketball drills you can do on your own. The best way to get better is find a few drills/games and do them on a regular basis. Dribbling, shooting, agility. The more you practice, the better you'll get.
