When dribbling a basketball, should ONLY the tips of my fingers make contact with the ball, or should my entire finger and hand pads(just like when you shoot a basketball) make contact with the ball?

Yep..just like shooting. Hand spread wide, hand is cupped to fit round contour of ball. Fingertips, fingers and finger/hand pads are contacting ball.

You dribble with your fingertips and pads of the hands without looking at the ball. Keep your head up at all times. Keep your eyes focused on what's happening on the court.

Thanks for your response. LOL I just had to asked this question because I here different things about dribbling, and I just wanted to get down to the truth.

The curve is the important part. At first many kids do it with their hand flat. By saying use your fingertips the kids naturally curve their hand to the contour of the ball.
