Don't burn a bridge. You don't know what may be in the future. You have done all you can do. All you can do going forward is create animosity. Gut it out the next few weeks and last four games. Keep a good attitude, especially your son. Smile and have some fun. Work hard in practice. As one parent I know in a similar situation said -- "prove him wrong. Make it hurt that you mayl not be back." At the end of the year, smile, shake his hand and say thank you (even though you want to pummell the idiot). When the season is over a great weight will be lifted off your shoulders and you will see a bright future. I have been there. Good luck.
