How Would You Like A Coach That Works With NBA Players To Come To Your Gym And Conduct a Camp?

If you'd like to host a Breakthrough Basketball Skill Development Clinic and have Don Kelbick come to your town, read on...

We're currently accepting applications from coaches that would like us to come give a Breakthrough Basketball Camp in their gym.

Here's how it works...

You arrange/reserve a gym and help us promote the clinic. We collect registrations on our website, help with the promotion, and then conduct the clinic. That's pretty much it.

You get to learn from Don Kelbick as he teaches his "Attack and Counter System", pick up new drills, learn what Don teaches NBA players, and so on. We will come to your gym, teach your players, and teach your coaches. This is not a "guest lecture" appearance -- we come to work your campers -- and give them an intense skill development program that will help them improve their game.

You just need to get a gym for us. We need a decent sized facility with an absolute minimum of 10 baskets for shooting. If you have two gyms in close proximity, we should be able to utilize both gyms.

The clinic will focus on fundamentals, footwork, and mentality. This includes aggressiveness, confidence, shooting, ballhandling, post footwork, perimeter footwork, guard play, using screens, cutting, scoring off the dribble, footwork to development length and speed, etc.

Players Must be 12 or Older

The minimum age is 12 years old. Don is too intense for younger kids. This is for players that truly want to get better. If they want to have fun, they can go play a pick up game somewhere. They'll learn a lot fast and get drilled hard. He can work with girls and boys at the same time.

Clinic Format

The standard clinic is 3 days with a minimum of 14 hours of intense skill work. A typical schedule would be:
  • Day 1 - 3 hours
  • Day 2 - 8 hours
  • Day 3 - 5 hours
The camps are usually on the weekend (Friday evening, all day Saturday, and part of Sunday) but the schedule can be adjusted based on the situation. If needed, additional days can be negotiated after you apply.

Keep in mind that Don's availability is limited and we have to go first come first served. We at Breakthroughbasketball.com are happy that he is willing to give up his personal time to help our readers. We hope you take advantage of the offer.

Who Is Don Kelbick?

For those of you who may not be familiar with Don, here is a little information about him...

Don Kelbick is a long time contributor to BreakthroughBasketball.com developing dozens of articles, products, and providing ongoing consultation for the site.

Don Kelbick has 27 years coaching experience, most of which are at the Division I college level. But for the past several years he has been doing individual development for players of all ages including NBA players and team camps with the rest of his time. Don has some pretty impressive clients including Bruce Bowen, Rasual Butler, Carlos Arroyo, Raja Bell, and so on.
