Two Ball Ladder Drills

Purpose of the Drill:

The purpose of this series of drills is to work on developing ball handling, passing, shooting, and finishing all while incorporating agility into the drill.

Instructions

  • The player will start out with two basketballs and dribble both while running through the ladder.
  • At the end of the ladder, the player will through a one handed pass the the coach with their right hand while continuing to dribble with their left.
  • They will then push the ball out and finish at the rim.
  • Then run a curl cut around the chair for a jump shot.

Points of Emphasis:

  • Keep your hand on top of the basketball when making the one handed pass to the coach.
  • Explode and push the ball out on the dribble to finish at the rim.
