how can i get better at layups. At home i get almost every layup in but at school i miss many and even uncontested layups. How can i get better at that.

just run lay-ups at a lower speed, when you re starting to hit them go faster (lay-ups from the right>right foot, left foot, right hand stretch out to the ceiling; from the left>left, right, left hand)

or maybe the problem is that your basket at home isnt the correct height....?

it is the correct height but the school hoop even if the ball hits the backboard lightly it bounces off so far

well thats propably because the rim is tightly affixed to the backboard, the only thing you can do is life with it and practicing alot

or ask your school to buy some better backboards and rims (but some other school probably also have this problem so you should better just make it your obsession...or somthing
