Is Social Media Killing Your College Chances? (Must read for players, parents, & coaches)

Check out this article on social media. It brings up some very good points about the use of social media and how it could affect players and their future. This is a great read for players, parents, and coaches.

  1. This was an interesting article! It made me think about the kid that was supposed to go to Michigan State as a 5 star recruit for football next year, but posted a rap video on youtube of him smoking weed, and rapping about profane things in the video. Michigan State pulled his scholarship and dropped him from the program. The reality is that yes, these colleges have a public image to uphold just like the companies we work for and represent, just like our families or faith we uphold. As coaches, we should teach our athletes to represent our teams, school and family well, because people are always watching, even on a small scale. If the kids do that, they have nothing to worry about.
